Well what can I say it was all my mom's fault.
She has worked for many awesome Quarter Horses trainers & introduced me to horses, so she is the one to blame.
Oviously we started with Quarter Horses but then my mom tried to trick me when my aunt & her decided to buy me an Appaloosa. They thought the idea of mine to show would end when they would buy me an Appaloosa to show not a Quarter Horse.
We were at a WHOA show & saw him Sonny's Top Brass what a jerk that horse was & I wanted nothing to do with him as I was 11 then. But they bought him anyways & when we went to pick him up the girls who owned him were crying & I told my mom to leave him there but she brought him home & that was it. I was hooked on Appaloosas & love Sonny to death & he is still Haunting my mom today as she calls it as he is 25 years old & still kicking around to keep us honest..
Though we have had Sonny for a long time now & he is our old man we could never part with him. He was my youth horse & I learned tons from him & appreciate him very much.
Since then I have had a few Appaloosas but never could find that right horse to take over from Sonny until we meet Grab my Vision. A crazy halter horse which I said I would never own one of them either. But it has been 2 & half years now & Shirley is the one the horse to take over from Sonny. Even though she can be the typical Crazy halter horse we love her to death & she has that charm to make people love her as well & hopefully Her & I will be able to go to the World Show in 2010.
I don't think I would ever be able not to own an Appaloosa as there is something unique about them & until you own one you don't know what I mean.
So give it a try, buy an Appaloosa & find out what I mean you will never regret it.
